Who is behind Marton Central?
Marton Central is operated by the Murphy-Robertson Partnership trading as
greymoose webdesign. Phil & Tarn (the partners) have lived in Marton since
January 1998. Actually, Tarn has been here longer.
We love Marton. It is a great place to bring up a family and we feel at home here
amongst the friendly people.
Marton Central is our way of offering something back to the community our children are
growing up in.
Why a community website?
We want to encourage participation in the community of Marton. There is a lot going
on in Marton and a number of excellent groups already promoting the idea of community.
We've got a couple of great local papers too (make sure you read them). However, people are
turning more and more to the Internet for instant information. Community is built on
interaction. It is the goal of Marton Central to use modern technology to provide
professionally presented and up-to-date information about where that interaction is
taking place.
Not-for-profit groups within the community of Marton are welcome to advertise
upcoming events free of charge on their own page. In fact we offer businesses the
opportunity to sponsor at least one page for a not-for-profit group as part of their
advertising cost. If no sponsor is available we are happy to negotiate with individual
groups to make sure they are represented on Marton Central.
